The 80,000 metric tons of injected plastic that Novares produces each year covers 7 main product families. Operating in the dynamic, competitive and constantly changing automotive market, Novares has deployed the DELMIA Ortems APS Production Planning and Scheduling solution across its 18 plants in order to address production constraints. This solution has successfully achieved four main objectives: creating realistic and feasible production plans, defining longer-term and more reliable delivery times, saving time, and responding quickly to changing conditions.
The implementation of the DELMIA Ortems APS Production Planning and Scheduling solution has helped Novares raise its customer service level to 98.5% across the group and lift its supplier service level above 90%. In addition, thanks to realistic and feasible production plans, plant productivity has increased, inventory levels have been reduced and most unplanned shipments have been eliminated. Organizationally, teamwork has improved, communication has become better structured and decision-making processes have been made more effective.
